Active Automations

Within Switchur you have the option to create Switchboard items and Automations. Switchboard items are near real-time connections to your smart sensors and services by way of IFTTT, Zapier, and/or Microsoft Power Automate.

You can create a Switchboard item to keep track of anything, for example; your location, your partner's location, the time of day, the temperature inside your house, weather conditions, motion detection, weekend vs weekday, light sensors, and so on.

Using Switchur, you create Automations to evaluate any combination of Switchboard items. For example, you could :

  • Create an automation to turn on the living room smart lights when it's "dark outside" AND either "you are home" OR "your partner is home"
  • Automate the smart coffee machine to brew at different times depending on whether it's "weekend vs weekday" AND "you are home" AND "you've no early appointments"
  • Have your Roomba commence the cleaning cycle when "it is a weekday" AND "you are not home" AND "your partner is not home"

Switchur is extremely flexible and allows you to automate many scenarios just the way you want.
